Terms and Conditions for Organized Package Tours (MK Co., Ltd.)
Summary of Terms and Conditions
Please read the following summary of our travel terms and conditions before making a reservation. This document forms part of the explanation and contract document as stipulated in Articles 12-4 and 12-5 of the Travel Agency Act.
Organized Package Tour Contract
This tour is planned and operated by MK Co., Ltd. (63-1 Nishikujo Higashishimacho, Minami-ku, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture, Travel Agency Registration No. 2-288 by the Kyoto Prefectural Governor; hereinafter referred to as “the Company”). Customers participating in this tour will enter into an organized package tour contract (hereinafter referred to as “the Travel Contract”) with the Company.
Application and Contract Formation
Applications for this tour are accepted only through the Company’s official online application form. The travel contract is deemed concluded when the Company accepts the application and notifies the customer of the acceptance.
Cancellation by the Company / Tour Cancellation
If the customer fails to pay the travel fee by the specified date, the Company may cancel the travel contract, in which case a penalty equivalent to the cancellation fee will be charged.
The Company may also cancel the contract in the following cases:
- The customer does not meet the specified participation conditions (e.g., age, gender, qualifications, physical condition).
- The customer is deemed unable to endure the tour due to illness or other reasons.
- The customer causes inconvenience to other participants or may disrupt group activities.
- The customer makes unreasonable demands beyond the scope of the contract.
- Due to natural disasters, riots, suspension of services by transport/accommodation providers, government orders, or other unavoidable circumstances where the safe and smooth operation of the tour becomes impossible or highly likely to become so.
Cancellation Fees
If the customer cancels the contract, the applicable cancellation fee will be stated on each tour’s booking page.
Payment of Tour Price
Payment is made immediately upon booking confirmation. No additional payment procedures are required.
Inclusions in Tour Price
The tour price includes transportation fees specified in the itinerary (economy class unless otherwise noted), meals, admission fees, and applicable taxes. Even if some services are not used due to the customer’s personal reasons, refunds will not be provided. (Personal expenses and items not listed in the itinerary are not included).
Special Compensation
Regardless of the presence or absence of the Company’s or its delegate's negligence, the Company will compensate the customer according to the special compensation provisions for injuries, death, or damage to personal belongings caused by sudden and accidental external incidents during the tour.
Compensation limits include:
- Death: 15,000,000 yen
- Hospitalization: 20,000 to 200,000 yen
- Outpatient treatment: 10,000 to 50,000 yen
- Damage to personal belongings: up to 147,000 yen per customer
Basis of Travel Conditions and Tour Price
The basis date for travel conditions and tour price is the date stated in the respective tour’s brochure or website.
